Customisable depending on party size – ensuring everyone gets to participate.

Randomised – solution can vary with each visit. Each experience boasts eight incredibly detailed environments featuring state-of-the-art activities that are: Each room is specifically crafted so that the experience is enjoyable for novices and escape room-aficionados alike. Universal’s entertainment team partnered closely with filmmakers and escape room industry experts around the country to create innovative experiences that go beyond the typical escape room.Īnother unique feature of Universal’s Great Movie Escape is the variety of challenges guests must work together to complete. Universal’s Great Movie Escape invites guests of all ages to solve their way through a pair of first-of-its-kind escape rooms based on two of the biggest film franchises in history. Guests can now book epic adventures inspired by Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s iconic Jurassic World and Back to the Future films. Really what I'm looking for is comments from fellow quality theater nerds and maybe projectionists in the area who could give us the straight dope and help all of us cut through the marketing hype in this jolly season.Tickets are now on sale! Universal Orlando has announced that Universal’s Great Movie Escape at Universal CityWalk will open on the 9th December. In my experience AMC (Altamonte and Universal) have very good screens and matching sound systems but their website is vague af on the technology they use, probably because they can't guarantee all theaters use the same up-to-date stuff: Select EPIC XL rooms feature 16 channel digital surround sound and 4K projection. > Every Epic XL auditorium features a minimum of DOLBY® 7.1 earth-shaking audio with the highest light output from BARCO® 2K and 4K digital projectors. Here's an example of what I'm looking for, from the Epic Theaters website:

IMAX is now a meaningless term since the IMAX company has licensed the trademark for basically any theater regardless of size, projection technology, and even sound system AFAIK. Ideally, that comes with an excellent sound system with many channels carefully installed all around the venue and serious wattage to back it up. I'm asking about the absolute basics: a well maintained screen with no dust, cracks on the screen, bright digital projector with high resolution (4K and up).

I'm not asking about assigned seating, reclining seats, cupholders, fancy 4D experience type of stuff like wind, smell-o-vision, shaking seats or anything else.
